appreciation

:) some might wonder why did I put a smile :) in front of some names in the links in my blog. Those SMILE are for those who have been very active reading and commenting on my blog. All the top 10 commentators get a smile and Kiki gets a smile too for being very active at the chatterbox! This is my way to show my appreciation to all my loyal readers. Not that I dont appreciate others - in fact , I would like to thank everyone who read my blog and from the bottom of my heart - I appreciate every single one of u :)

Therefore , no hard feeling for those who dont have the :) tag with ur link occay! I love all my readers equally :P

Harlequin baby

This is not an alien , this a real baby. Maybe she doesnt look very familiar or typical but she's still a human baby. If I'm not in this medical field , the 1st thing that would come into my head when I see this kind of baby would be -" What the heck the parent did ! " or "the parent might be a devil" or some ppl would go to the "bomoh"

and then the bomoh would say

" .....ni , kamu ade cari pasal ngan ofismate kamu ni, lepas tu die ade buat-buat, tanam tangkal tulang jari kelingking perempuan mati mengandung anak ke 12 belakang rumah mase bini awak mengandung , pakcik boleh ubat ni - pengeras RM5000 dan pakcik kene tido ngan bini kamu tu.... "

I said -> Bullshit!

the real truth is , this is a congenital disease known as the Harlequin ichthyosis or Ichthyosis fetalis

This disease is caused by chronic hyperkeratosis. " dalam bahasa melayu, hyperkeratosis = kulit tebal berkerak / besisik " and for this disease, it'll be "diamond shape" scale.

The caused of this disease is believed to be the genetic disorder - meaning if it's gonna happen to u... it might just. No prevention and technically it could happen to anyone.

So far, less than 100 cases of this disease been reported and it's a very rare disease. The prognosis is very bad - most of these babies died during birth and even if they made it thru the labour room - they would be dead due to the infection. The spaces between the scales are easily infected.

If u want to see this baby alive, u could go and search for "harliquin ichthyosis" at the youtube.com

:) just a piece of medical info for all my readers. One more thing , not that I hate or really loath all the bomohs :P , I just think - if u want to look for alternative treatment , go to the "ustaz or pak imam"

Final exam - part 2 -> PASSED!

Thank you everyone for all the Good luck wishes :) "berkat doa kalian, hamba dah berjaya melepasi peperiksaan peringkat kedua ini dengan jayanya! "

Too tired rite now. Totally exhausted but I'm soooooooo happy. All the hard work paid off :P
Going to take a rest now , and I want to go n meet adammmmmmm!

Final exam - part 2

Checklist for the final exam part 2 ! Stethoscope - check! ECG ruler - check! Oxford handbook ( last minute revision! ) check! Good health - check! Brain full of medical info and stuff -> need to recheck on this one!

It's 230am , need to leave the house at 7am later , meaning I might have a few hours to sleep later. I need to have a good sleep so I could be fully awake tomorrow - but at the same time I'm pretty sure it's impossible for me to have a "quality" sleep afterwards! too many things are going on in my mind!

I just cant wait to get over this one... it's killing me :P

"Sebelum saya mempunyai pembaris ECG ini, saya amat malas mengira heart rate , tetapi dengan menggunakan pembaris ini , mengira heart rate tidak lagi menjadi masalah kepada saya :P , pembaris ini juga bole digunakan utk mengipas muka yang bakal berpeluh dalam ward besok ! " - ala2 iklan sabun pencuci sketttt !
my unhealthy lunch+dinner -> the lambchop! I'm sure my Blood preasure (BP) will rise to the roof during the exam tomorrow... so what the heck rite , might as well add up some spice to it! make sure that my BP will reach the moon ( or even mars! ) with this lambchop!

Warning - it's very NOT advisable to eat any kind of red meat b4 any exam ! That include any medical check up and blood works up!

Anyway, enuf of these craps... wish me luck tomorrow... Well, actually I'm gonna need more than luck.. God please help me ... aminnnnn

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's day to all dads out there! Doesnt matter what kind of daddy u are - single daddy, happy daddy, hot daddy , sugar daddy , candy daddy , who's ur daddy - today is ur day and u deserved it!

Being a daddy - is big job given by the God and not everyone could be a good daddy. But then, being a good daddy is a relative term. Sometimes u have to be a bad daddy to be a good one. U have to make the unpopular decision in the family such as "no tv after 8 and go to ur room and study" - which earned u the title uncool daddy!

Therefore , today is the day to celebrate daddy's hardwork and his undivided commitment toward the family :P

Hencefoward , in conjunction with daddy's day this year - I'm giving away a very special prize to one of my readers :) Some of u might realize I have added a new widget on my blog - the top commentators ranking.

This competition is open to everyone except for those who have already won here ( cepotet "erni" - u r not qualified for this competition since u've won before and I've already bought ur perfume! and to Kak RED - since u already got the burberry perfume set - u r also not qualified :P )

The winner for daddy's day competition is - the one who's the highest on the top commentators ranking! ( excluding me! ) - therefore , the current leader rite now is Lily!

But then , the game is still wide open , the lead is pretty small and lot of chance for others to win this one. The closing date for this competition is on the 08/07/08. Which means , the winner is the one who's on the highest rank at 11.59 pm of 07/07/08!~

So, I wish everyone... a very good luck!!!!

Let's see who's the lucky winner!!!!

Bye bye Elyn!

bye bye Elyn :) She went back to Malaysia today. Should be arriving tomorrow... maybe now she's still stuck in the traffic on her way to the airport. If it's not bcoz the final exam , we would have sent her to the airport.
Elyn is like a sister I never had ( our last photo together in moscow , no re-shoot the photo even thou my eyes were closed since the cab had arrived! ) yup .... we had our fun , ups n downs. We gonna miss her a lot. It was nice to have her around - she's a good kid , very innocent at times. Me n shida gonna miss making fun of her cookings , her endless love stories and on top of that, shida lost her shopping partner!!! That's what worry me the most now!!!! :P .... hahaha.. Wish her all the best. She still has lot of years left in moscow.

Gonna be a quite "gloomy" day for me n shida Gonna miss her a lot. Seeing ppl leaving back to malaysia, make me feel a bit "downcast" ..... I miss Malaysia a lot , but at the same time , I miss my frens here in moscow :)

Nevertheless , life must goes on! One more week until the final is over. Really no mood to study. I'm really forcing myself to revise everything! I'm exhausted... I want to get over with the exam a.s.a.p....

Adam's day out

Times flew so fast. I cant believe that this semester is coming to the end. Elyn is going back home to Malaysia tomorrow. Therefore , we all went out for the last time in moscow yesterday. Plus, yesterday was a public holiday in Russia - it was the Russian DAY :- means Kak yan n family were able to join us too :) Big day out.. very tiring , which pretty much explain why I didnt update last nite :P The Lenin statue in front of the Metropol Hotel ( just outside the teatralnaya metro) - me and adam ( sleeping ) , kak yan n damya ( sleeping ) and tina the faithful untie. It was raining earlier in the morning. It got worse when we were getting ready , but then - it turned out to be a sunny day afterward. Thank you God :) The rain earlier was just to cool down the hot summer weather!
We went to manezh yesterday ( the underground shopping center ) near the kremlin. Yes, I literally mean it. The shopping mall is located deep down inside the earth. ehheee... cool rite :P As the girls were busy shopping - me , adam and damya were able to spend some quality times together.... ( read --> baby sitting! )
Damya and adam took turned to sleep in the stroller. It's cool u know to carry a stroller at the shopping mall. When the girls were not around and it was just me and the baby , I looked like a single father taking his baby for shopping and according to the COSMO and VOGUE and all the other ladies' magazine - that's what really attract women :P ... har har har... kidding shida.. I love u :P
" Haaiiiii..... Nama saya adam , saya tak pandai cakap lagi tapi saya ganas macam budak besar dah. Saya suka kacau orang dan buat mama saya marah saya. Saya suka makan tangan orang dan picit muka orang. Saya suka kacau adik saya damya tidoo dan curi botol susu damya jugak. Tapi saya x suka makan makanan saya, saya hanya suka kacau orang makan... saya x suka keamanan sejagat sebab saya ini raksaksa kecik. Tapi hati saya lembut sebab saya suka main barang2 orang perempuan, yang paling saya suka handbag/purse warna PINK! Satu lagi... saya suka antar SMS kat mane2 handphone yang saya jumpe... so nanti biler bday saya , saya nak iphone sebijik bole x mama? Satu lagi... saya suke sgt tgk pompuan lawa... bukan sbb saya ni gatal, saya suke tgk fashion best :P ...Walaupon saya ni ganas, saya sayang sgt kat mama saya ngan untie tina... kat damya pon sayang jugak :P ... oppsss one more , one more... Uncle Hannan tu ensem n cool sgt....!!! skit pon adam x tipu.. "

p/s - mama - sorry adam habiskan wet tissue damya ek semalam... adam dah bosan sgt semalam sbb Uncle Han tido pakai ipod pastu buat2 x dgr adam panggil..
ok... enuf with adam's story... :) need to go back to my books and boring life... tata semuaaaaaa :)

happy Bday Joyce :)

Happy Birthday Joyce ! - from left me, shida , Joyce n Kai Voon. We went out today to celebrate Joyce birthday at the japanese restaurant ( which I forgot the name ) It was Joyce 17 bday ( I reckon :) sweet 17 and Happy Bday Joyce , wish u all the best in ur life.
Even thou we r still in the middle of our final exam - it's good to take a little break , go out and breath some fresh air. Me myself is damn sick of spending the week in the room and the books already drove me crazy. Before the dinner , I went to play futsal at the university's gym ...... too much FAT being stored since the exam started. Need to lose some :P
The food was nice and most important thing , the birthday girl was really happy ( well, at least she looked happy :P ) The only turndown was my non-alcohol mohito - didnt taste that good. The rest were awesome.
Anyway, we had our fun and now.... back to the table... studying... which is an ultimate boring part of my life for the past few weeks. Too many things to be read and too many books to be cooked :P .... Sometimes, I felt like burning all those notes and books. They look annoying and really pissed me off. Unfortunately, my future depends on them... therefore , like it or NOT - I just need to stay calm and focus , keep my head ups for another 2 weeks and just pray to God that everything will turn out just fine... God willing....

So, again - Happy birthday Joyce!

asta la vista... see u again tomorrowwwwww

around malaysia.....

I just cant wait to go back home to Malaysia. This final exam seems to be - endless for me. Even thou the fact is I only have around a month left in moscow , it gonna be my longest 1 month here :)

There are so many thing I want to do once I get back home. Well, the real fact is , I believe I have the rest of my life to spend in Malaysia and once I get back home , it's not as exciting anymore. What ever it is .... I miss malaysia a lot and I'll be missing moscow a lot also later on.

If u've been reading my blog - I've been travelling to various part of europe. But, ironically , I havent been to all the states in Malaysia! ahahaha....

Therefore , I'm thinking of going for a roadtrip around malaysia when I get back home ! ( even the expensive fuel price wont stop me.... it might go up more in the future , so I need to do this "plan" before our beloved government increase the price again! )

Ok... state checklist :P

Kelantan - we can skip this one coz I'm from kelantan :)

Perlis - hehehehe... never been to Perlis!!!! I got an offer to go for matriculation course in arau last time... which I declined. So.... yes.. I've never been to PERLis... definitely on my road tour map!!!!

Kedah - I only been to Sg Petani only ... Alor Star.. not yet :P

Penang - I went to Penang .... once... on a school trip .. yeah.. u know.. the boring school trip , the bus, the teachers. NOT very eventful. I even didnt have the chance to pee from the penang bridge... what a waste! Need to go to Penang again ! Penang anyone????

Perak - I've been Kuala Kangsar coz my 2nd brother studied at MCKK last time. Apart from that... no more.. not even to Ipoh I reckon... damn...

Selangor - been there, done that :P

Negeri Sembilan - my brother lives there now ... been there :)

Melaka - been there a few time... 2 times by the school trips.. and a few other times ...

Johor - since my brothers studied in UTM... and shida's from muar... I ve been here pretty often... :)
Terengganu - well.. KT - is a must go place for me :) I went there everytime I went back home for summer break. Why? 1. coz my 2nd brother is working there. 2. Coz I was borned in terengganu. Yeah, I'm entitled to the petroleum royalty and yet need to pay for the expensive fuel. What the heck rite? Me - borned in terengganu , grew up in kelantan , screwed up in moscow!

Pahang - been there... lot of time. Been to Kuantan ... Teluk chempedak. Had a great memory at the Holiday Villa Cherating ... bla bla bla... we can skip this state too...

SABAH & SARAWAK - well, to cut it short - my first time travelling by air ( flight ) was on my way to moscow. Therefore .... I've never been to sabah n sarawak. These 2 r on the top of my list!!!!

So....after listing down everything - wow... if I exclude all the school trip , I've never been to Perlis, Kedah, Penang , Ipoh, Sabah , Sarawak ... and yet I ve been to Lille , Mallorca , tashkent and volgograd - touche!. ( yes, wenkt ... I'm comparing Lille to tashkent.. har har har )

Definitely, the road trip is a must ! sape nak JOIN? Jommmmmmm

New iphone 3G

I would like to dedicate this ad above to my dear fren "zaK" - dengan ucapan - I told u so :P~!
New iphone - 3G , twice faster , half cheaper :) Only 199USD , if u convert to RM , it will be around RM700. Plus minus tax and shipping and whatsoever - maybe we can get this phone in Malaysia for RM1000-1500 , considering Malaysia has no official apple retailer. The nearest is in Singapore. Well, since this new one isnt contracted to AT&T , they also sell this one officially worldwide. Therefore , if they are launching this in singapore - I might just go there just to get one!

as I was studying...

As I was studying... or so called studying... I found this cool name for the amoebiasis.... ( a.k.a - berak cair berdarah :P )

Montezuma's Revenge
Montezuma's Revenge is the colloquial term for any cases of traveler's diarrhea contracted by tourists visiting
Mexico. The name humorously refers to Montezuma II (1466-1520), the Tlatoani (ruler) of the Aztec civilization who was defeated by Hernándo Cortés the Spanish conquistador.

-me myself first heard the name montazuma when I play the CIVILIZATION games , not thru history books for sure :P

It is estimated that 40% of foreign traveler vacations in Mexico are disrupted by infection.[7] Most cases are mild and resolve in a few days with no treatment. Severe or extended cases, however, may result in extensive fluid loss and/or dangerous electrolytic imbalance which pose a severe medical risk and may prove fatal if mismanaged. The oversight of a medical professional is advised.
Not all water supplies in Mexico are contaminated and many hotels have water purification systems that eliminate risk. Certain resort destinations also have large-scale water purification systems which provide safe water city-wide. Roadside and popular food stalls specifically should be avoided.

Say my name

As I logged in to update my blog just now , a fren IM me thru the YM :-

michelle: hey...any tips for the 2nd part of final ?
xhansx: say my name
michelle: hahhaah
michelle: wahh.. tat's easy
xhansx: yeah.... if only everyone knows this secret....

Yup ... everyone is pretty much "nervous" for the next step of our final exam ... including me of course. I'm just playing cool... as always :P I'll only get panicked at the last minute or at the final hour ... that's just typical me!

This photo was taken from outside my window at 530 am this morning :) Yes, I was awake that early .. ( dont ask why .... :P ) It's summer here therefore the day is much longer than nite time. The sunset around 10pm and sunrise at 250am nowdays. But my routine - hasnt changed much since I'm busy preparing for the exam. I always awake until 4 am in the morning and I am still in wonderland at 11am. My day starts at 11.59 am everyday - just before the noon hit the clock!

This week gonna be a very boring and stressful - not a fun week at all.... 2 more weeks left until everything is over... I just cant wait for the freedom day!

Agong's Birthday celebration

Our destination yesteday - Malaysia embassy in moscow. Went there for Agong's bday celebration. The embassy located at the MOSFILMOSKAYA ulitsa about 15km from our apartment , took about 30 mins by cab. Dont be fooled by the shinny weather- it was pretty damn cold yesterday , I reckon around 10-12 degree with windy breeze. Yup, summer temperature - 10 degrees :) Lovely as it is.....
The main agenda of the celebration - the food. In the photo from left - machi, rajiv, me , elyn and sue. Shida's the one taking the photo. Thanks darling :P - the food was good - "nasi beriani" with all the side dishes..... bla bla bla... but I enjoyed the desert more :P
Elyn was freezing without her coat while eating. Not really a good meal for her since she was shivering :P hehehee.... She'll be leaving back for Malaysia soon.... :)
Me and my fav pal- adam. I spent most of my time at the embassy yesterday playing around with adam.... He may be 2 years old but he knows how to sms ppl :P Smart rite.... ?

in the photo :-

me - stop sending random sms to guys ...
adam - lalalalalala ( I dont care :P )
me - well... if u really need to do it... just send "hi" to all the girls in my contact list occay?
adam - lalalalalala ( will do bro! )

Therefore - should any of u receive any random blank / let's go for a date / I miss u sms - it wasnt me ... it was Adam :P
So.... that was pretty much what I did yesterday. Smiley face after a good meal :P - the party is over for the time being. Need to get back to the books - get ready for the next exam ! Chaiiiyyyookkkkkk

Take a bow

Our Final exam started this morning , 6th June 08. Here, it's called the "Government Exam" -in short - the gov exam. Consist of 3 part , started with the mcqs - which we did today , the next one will be the practical on the 16th June - followed by the viva on the 21 June - which also known as the liberation day for us the final year student.
The mcq exam took place at the university today . Since the uni itself located just about 3.5 km away for mi"casa" - it only took me around 15 mins by walking or 10 mins by bus. Had very little sleep last nite , I slept at 4 am. Then I woke up again by 630 pm. Since it's summer - the dawn started pretty early - subuh is at 250am. So, technically, I only had around 2 hours sleep prior to exam.

Well, the plan was - go to the exam - finish by 10am - then go back n sleep. It said that the exam should start at 830am. However, the state exam commisioners arrived pretty late at our uni - therefore the exam only started at 10am. I was so damn sleepy during the exam. My head was spinning and in my mind - all I could think about was my bed :P.

Eventually, the exam finished by 12 and I quicky ran back home to get some sleep. huhuh.... Well, the lesson we could learn here is - it's ok to get little sleep bf ur exam :P - should the exam started on time - I should have be back to sleep by 11pm. heheheh.. Well, when u set ur brain to get a rest at certain time , it'll automatically go to rest when the time comes. That what happened to me today. Me <---- pretty much is a robot now :P

anyway, about the previous entry - hehehe.. no worry. My head was just a bit messed up yesterday. Just my nonsense :P

Tomorrow - going to embassy for "makan-makan" .... sape nak ikut? JOM!!!!

Mumbling......

"I would rather do nothing than doing something that I hate "

Well , it used to be my principle of life. But then , this one doesnt work well when u live in the society or when u r in a relationship. If u hold tight to this " words of wisdom" - ur social life is pretty much "doomed".

Coz, when u r living in society or in a relationship - u have to learn to be flexible. U have to bend the rules. U have to follow the flow - so that u could bring a smile in others' faces :) - these are the unwritten rules of LIFE..... those who didnt follow the rules - become the hatred of the society.

But then - there's so much one could take , there's so much bending one could bear. When the bending is too much - it'll pass the threshold , it'll be broken.

Me? How do I deal with this society crap? ... Frankly , I'm not that good in this relationship thingy. I'm totally not the PR stuff. Sometimes I follow the rules , most of the times - I just follow my own rules.

I tried to be flexible to ppl around me and I tried my best. However , sometimes , when someone hit my "childish button" - I just cant take it anymore - then I become " myself" , the real me - a boy who's trapped in a man's body. Then , I'll become childish - the inconsiderate , selfish , unflexible kid.

There's one Malay saying which goes " hendak seribu daya , tak hendak , sejuta dalih" It's true and at the same time - it's bullshit. Yes, I could change to be the loveable doll for everyone - but deep down inside ,would I feel happy for myself?

There are times when we should take the bullets and there are times , we should duck and save ourselves. It may sound very selfish and it's. But the ugly truth is , being Mr Nice Guy - is really exhausting and it gets worse when ppl never appreciate what u have done.

Well, I'm not sure what the heck is hitting me tonite , maybe the pre-exam jitter , or maybe the hike in oil price...

whatever it is , in the end of the day , I DEFINITELY believe that I would rather be hated for who I am , than be loved from whom I'm not .....

Random Photos

I've not been out from my room for the past 2 days. Therefore - nothing much been happening. Well, actually there's something I've been addicted for the past 2 days - the mob wars on the facebook!

Yeah, this stupid game made me stuck in front of my laptops for the whole day. It's way more interesting than those medical books. That's for sure :P. I just joined the mob 2 days ago and rite now I'm at level 18 - that's pretty much impressing .... lalallaaaa......

Since I'm stucked to my laptop -I decided to clean up my phone memory card from all the photos and here they are ......

this is the typical food kiosk which u could found all over moscow city. There is no "warong kopi or "mamak stall" in moscow and the only place u can get cheap food in moscow is at these kiosks. Even the McDonalds here cost twice more expensive compared to Malaysia. 1 filet-o-fish costs about RM 8 in moscow.
Therefore - most of the time - we " poor" students settled with the cheap foods from the kiosks.... hehehehe....

Ok... next :P

Last monday nite- we had this so called - corridor SALE. Since we dont have any garage - we call it the corridor Sale instead :P The sale went well for some of us , me myself managed to sell a few stuff - mostly my books since they are very "heavy" to bring back to Malaysia. But, I'm still sending back some of the books thou. We managed to turn the corridor into the "Pasar Malam" for a few hours.... it was fun
Yup.... the bundle :) hehehehe.... These cloths costed us a bomb and we were selling them at very cheap price. We are planning to do this "corridor sale" again since we still have a lot of stuff for SALE.

ME? I sold most of my stuff already. My tv, my fridge, my kitchen cabinet, my microwave , my sound system , my 3 in 1 printer , my oven - all SOLD. The money I got from these stuff is more than enuf to pay for my cargo - sending back some stuff to Malaysia. But, I still have some winter jackets for sale... :)

Next :)

yeah... another photo of me and adam - huhuhuh.. why so sad adam? miss me already? I'll see u this weekend occay !

chiow belloo- wish me luck for my mcq final on this friday... La La La....

Viewer Discretion is advised

The following photos in this entry are pretty much "disturbing" for some people. Therefore - those who have "lemah semangat" , "nervous breakdown" , low self esteem , being dumped by a lesbian gf , coward , dumbass , gay and lactose intorelerance - please click the "X" button on the upper right side of the screen :)
I decided to check my secondary email - and I found these photos attached to one of the many unopened emails :P I choosed to open the email coz the title said - HUMAN FACTORY IN RUSSIA :)

So.... ENJOY :)

I'm pretty much sure that these photos were taken in Russia. Somewhere in the morgue or the pathology anatomy department. MAYBE - it just happened that on the day these photos were taken -the place was a bit busy , MAYBE a plane just crashed or one whole building full of people was intoxicated. OR maybe - the staffs took a long holiday break - MAYBE a month or 2 to go skiing at the ALPS and when they came back to the office - DUE WORK <--- which explain this piles of bodies. I've been to the morgues in moscow and they look exactly like these photos. Since Russia just emerged from the communism - they dont have the latest equipment to do the autopsy/organ harvesting so these photos are totally different from what u've seen in tv.
Even these old cute "nurses" look nothing like the hot babes in the CSI rite? ( maybe they used to be :P ) On top of that , they are still using the typewriters - not the high tech laptops :)
Opppssss... no explanation for this one ... dude.. may u rest in peace ...
Another busy day at the morgue - not the human factory obviously. BUT, if u think about it - nothing much different btwn all the morgues in the world. During autopsy - the bodies are being chopped and analysed until the last piece! No kidding. My advise - if u can avoid ur relative's dead body from undergo any autopsy - Please... dont let the body goes on to the table. Once the body being open up.... well... all I can say - it's ugly...
However , sometimes - u just need to let the lads in the morgue do their job. Autopsy is a very informative procedure and the most accurate diagnostic method.
Some of the useful organs might be harvested if the dead bodies - did registered to donate their organ/ or their relative decided to. Organ donation- is a nobel thing to do. There are many ppl out there who need new organs everyday and the list keep getting longer and longer. ISLAM didnt forbide organ donation. Morally - u r giving a new life to other ppl :)
