it was never my fault!!!!

how everyone doing?
tomorrow we will start our fasting month
i wish u all the best.
i wish u all - good health  , joy and happiness!

nonetheless , me is at the other end right now
having fever...pharyngitis ...
something is disturbing my throat..
i wish the antibiotic will kill all the bugs away before fasting start tomorrow!

anyway,
back to my boring life as an anaesthetist..
yes.. we make people sleep well
we make them went thru operation... painlessly and unharmed..
and we had our share of fun too..

the most common cause of surgery ... is self -stupidity..
meaning - caused by human error
and the most common human error is - moto-vehicle accident
who are the prime candidate? mostly the mat rempit..

i'm telling you here.. these mat rempit are really something...
before i put them to deep sleep..
i always asked them.... what happened during the accident..
and the answer would be... " it was not my fault doctor ..."
yes.. that is the most definite answer from the mat rempit...
then they start telling their side of the stories...

" it wasnt my fault doctor... i was riding on the highway at mid nite..
i saw no cars incoming from another side... then i was trying to make u turn in the middle of the highway...
then suddenly a car hit me from the side... buta betul driver kereta tu...."
yes... it wasnt ur fault rite... who the hell do u turn in the middle of a highway????

" it was not my fault doctor... me and a few friends were riding our bikes at night .... and we were not racing doctors ... just plain riding...  i was trying to overtake my friend and my front tyre accidently went up to the air ... i was not trying to do wheelie doctor... some how one of my friend hit my bike while i was accidentally wheelie my bike...":
yeeeeeeeeeeaaaa rite......

everyday i saw these mat rempit... very young age... mostly still in school
but pity them... belum sempat kawin gigi dah tinggal separuh
what a shame...

if u are a parent.. do take care of ur children... make sure they dont end up being of the mat rempit,..
and if u are a mat rempit... if u want to kill urselves.. please dont involve other people...

the beauty of GP ....

it's a common sense it our society
we all believe that GP ( private clinics ) provide better medicine compared to the government clinics
yes... at a quick glance.. yes it's true
it is so bloody true
and i could not deny it at all...

so what actually happened?

situation one...

a young mother brought her baby to the government clinic ... her baby is having fever ... not feeding well..a bit of flu...
after being seen by a doctor or a medical assistant at the clinic ... she was given syrup paracetamol for the baby .. and went back home..
for one day .. she gave the baby the syrup however , condition is not improving...

hence the next day , she opted for second opinion
she made her way to the nearest private clinic...
then the doctor at the clinic prescribe the baby with at least 5 medicine... syrup paracetamol... flu syrup... antibiotic and multivitamin...
she went back home with a big smile..
and served her baby with all the medicine
after a few days... the baby is getting better..
so .. she went back to work ..
and tell the story to the office mate...

eventually.. people prefer private clinic compared to government clinic

here is the truth about our health system

me.. is a government doctor
but sometimes , i do locum at private clinics

and here is the inside truth...

at the government hospital .
our budget is limited
the cheapest drugs is of course the syrup paracetamol...
we dont simply give antibiotic , especially for babies..
if there is no obvious sign of infection...
syrup paracetamol is enough... no need for antibiotic..
the extra supplement should be provided via breast milk...
breast milk is best medicine of all... contained antibiotic... vitamins... mineral..
keep the baby healthy
however... paracetamol isnt a magic drugs..
it doesnt resolve everything..

different story at the private clinic..
when a mother brought her baby with a slightest sign of infection..
doctors straight away give the antibiotic and all sort of supplement...
which is the best treatment .... for short term...
the baby will get well in no time..
however ... the broad usage of antibiotic among baby ...
will cause the bacteria in their baby become susceptible to the antibiotic in the future.

it's so complicated ...
hard to understand if u r not from the medical field
no one is to be blamed here

the government doctors are playing by the book... follow the rules
the private clinics doctors need to give quick relieve to the patients to keep their business running...

happy ramadhan...

salam
my dear reader
happy fasting..
ramadhan is very near to us..
it's a month of blessing
a month of forgiveness
make full use of these coming 29 days occay?

a little reminder to everyone and to me especially...

congratulation to my dear fren dr hafidz
he's a married man now
and i was his best man on the wedding day
( he was my best man on mine )

the lucky girl also from johore...
same as mine...
apparently johorian has this kind of charm
which make guys go crazy

anyway dude..
i wish u all the best ...all the happiness in the world
May God bless both of us

am i a 10?

me my beloved sist , redmummy.... dah boncit dah akak aku nih!

anyway, a very "WIERD"  and a very uncomfortable situation at work a few days ago..
got  a special visit by our superior...
and of course...
complaints and more complaints from the people up above..
apparently we are not doing the best ..
well ... nothing new there..
people died in ICU everyday ...
so as long as people are dying in ICU..
it's always doctors fault rite?

come n work with us for one night and then u tell me we r doing the best or not..

nevertheless....the best part was when we were asked..

"on a scale of 1 to 10 .... how do u rate ur capabability of handling ICU cases " ....

after a very long thought...
i said i am a 10...
..
well... apparently he wasnt expecting that answer from me..
he said if i am a 10 ... i think i am already good enough and i m not willing to learn anymore...

but seriously...

do u want ur staff to be a 5/10 when dealing with life or death situation??
let me ask all the reader out there...
when ur relative is being treated in the ICU... do u want ur relative to the treated by a doctor who is 5/10 ...
or even 8/10
definitely u want a 10/10 doctor to treat them...

and honestly...
i reckon i'm a 10/10 for a medical officer
i'm always learning from my senior
always updating myself with the latest treatment

being good doesnt mean u r already content with ur skill n knowledge
being a 10/10 means we know we can be more than 10/10
and we will always work harder....
