the challenges of opening your own private clinic

well, where do I start
it is an uphill task

it took a while before i managed to convince my parent that i will quit the government
frankly speaking they would prefer me to stay in the government for the rest of my life
my mom mostly , she is very pessimist about my ambition
she is not to blame definitely
coz my family is not very familiar with self own business
coz i m still young ( still in my twenties and i m jumping into this big hole )
coz i m inexperienced in business
well
the list goes on
there are moments , when i think about these risk factors
i thought it might be better for me to stay where i am right now
happy and simple life
no hassle... 8-5 job
free weekend
it is a good job actually
pays pretty well
but... i just dont have the satisfaction.....

The biggest decision ever !

Well
It is about time
I finally decided it is time to jump
I m opening my own private clinic this year
Yes ,
Some says it is foolish to leave the government sector
Opening ur own private clinic is such a big gamble
Throwing away the subsidies I have right now
The security ...
Well, in a few sense... These people are right

But I have my own reason
I have decided it is time for me to fly solo..
Well not really solo.. I have a fren helping me with this clinic
A close fren of mine
He opened his own clinic about a year ago and he is doing pretty well right now
He told me it is about time I follow his step
And he might be right

Mama and papa are a bit worried when I mentioned to them about my plan
They worked for the government thru out their life and they have done well
Surely my parent want me to stay in the government sector that provide the security ..
But I m sorry mama n papa, please bless me on this
I want to have my own private clinic
It was a dream of mine all along
Since I was a medical student

Yes I know,
It is such a huge gamble
I m putting my life on the line here
But I believe ... Rezeki Itu di tangan Allah...
InsyaAllah .. My clinic will turn out just fine
It will be a struggle at first few months surely ..
But I will be strong .. Coz this is what I want and my dream.
It is do or die thing..

The other day, when i was exercising at the gym
I told a fellow doctor about my plan
He is my super senior... Works for the government for about 20 years already..
He told me " working for government could provide u the security , but hardly will give u the prosperity "...
He encourage me to proceed and catch my dream
Thanks for the advice boss

Well... This is just the first step..
Many more things and stuff need to be done before I get started ..
This is the beginning of a new journey in my life ...

Dear Pakatan rakyat..
Yes , there are a lot of people out there who want to change our country administrator right now
But there are a few things u guys could do to improve the voting outcomes and be a better government in the future ( should u guys win )

Number one. Drop ambiga at all cost. As Muslim ... It is haram to vote for ambiga who is fighting for the lgbt right and ambitions . Lgbt is wrong.. Dead wrong in any religious . Hence , it is a big no for certain people to vote for pr if ambiga is still there . Vote for ambiga means that u r supporting lgbt... Harammmmmmm

Number 2 . Karpal Singh n kit siang should support PAS to implement hudud . There is no need for the non Muslim to be worried about hudud as hudud will only apply for Muslim. So shut up guys, do not interfere in other religious matter .


Easy rite ? Should that are able to fix this issues , PR could get a few more thousand votes on their side ..


Now lets look at BN..

Well, they have been doing a good job running the country for many years. Kudos. But this coming PRU will be a big test for them. The biggest ever I presume.
But there are a few thing they could change right now that could bring them victory in this coming election. A few changes that will cost them zero cent !

Number one , get rids of those who are involved in bribery.. Including whose family... Yes.. U know who. How can u being investigate for bribery at highest level and yet .... U r the prominent figure inside the party ... Get rids of these few people and the citizen will see BN is serious about against bribery...

Number two... Our dear PM.. I don't want to be rude here ... But maybe u could ask ur wife to wear tudung? That small change will makes our rakyat believe that our pm is strongly religious ... Malaysia I a Muslim country right.. It is about time our First Lady to cover her aurat...

Well... I know I m no expert
But these little changes in both party could make a different
Could be decisive
Should they are willing to make these changes .. I ll vote for that side...

A perfect Friday

Yes , it is weekend here in kelantan
Friday is weekend
A day I would love To spend resting with my family
Something I was not able to do every week apparently
How I wish everyday I could just wake up late in the morning.. No need to rush to get to work.. Take my sweat time playing with nia , reading the newspaper , have a proper home cook breakfast
Yes , it is wonderful
But life doesn't work that way
It only happen once a week at most
The rest of the week will be hectic and tiring ...

To start with.. I don't know who u are.
Secondly , those strong words are meant for those who deserved it.
Kindly spend some of ur precious time listening to tazkirah for example from Ustaz Azhar idrus ( hopefully u know who he is )
He uses strong words to describe people who deserved it
Even ministers used strong words at times .
And that did not degrade their status at all
In my case , I believe those people need to be thought a lesson. And they deserved the strong words, so they would realize they have done something wrong..

There is an old Malay saying that goes something like this ... Tak mati dikeji... Tak hidup dek pujian ( something like that, please correct me )


So marya... Try listening to Ustaz Azhar idrus... A lot of interesting issue .. And u might learn something. .

P/s - I don't work to earn people respect . I go to work everyday because it is my responsibility as a Muslim to help others. I could have open my own clinic, but I choose to work with the government so I could serve the people who couldn't afford private medical treatment. Earning respect n money is the last one on my list !

there has been a widespread rumour in the net and news regarding the bleeding baby issue at the SCN at HRPZ ll

Here is the truth,

the staff nurses at the ward is not 100 percent to be blamed
they are just human
3 of them need to take care of 20 babies in ward at least

FACT number one..
the baby is not injured or being injured or sustained any serious bleeding
the blood came from the IV access
what happened was , clearly we can see in the picture the baby is upside down
meaning the baby is very active in the baby court..
and when the baby move excessively ,  the vein access is accidentally displaced ,
causing some blood spilled.
definitely no major bleeding here
the baby is not harm in any way
the eye cover is for protection against the phototheraphy
the baby is admitted because on jaundice ...


FACT number two
the one who took the photo is such a jerk and an asshole
when u see thing like this happened ,
u call the staff nurse or the doctor
there is no point taking photo of this unfortunate event
call the people in charge and they will fix the situation
no medical personal in right mind would ignore this if they saw this baby.
but the jerk who took the photo... is sooooo busuk hati..
she decided to make a fuss about this...
she should have help the baby by getting some help


FACT number 3
the picture is not as bad as it looks like
it the baby is harmed or injured ,
the parent would have complaint
instead.. there is no issue coming from the baby parent


FACT number 4
dear people
be sensible and be logical
dont listen to rumour
dont spread wild rumour
dapat dosa free

another new year resolution is coming
but before i start writing my 2013 resolution
i did flipped back to my january 1st blog entry
where i wrote my 2012 aims
I have to say ... JOB WELL DONE.
alhamdulillah
tq Almighty Allah for ur blessing
2012 has been great year for me and for my family
a year ago , i would not have thought i have what  i have right now

which make me puzzled
what 2013 has waiting for me?
will 2013 be nice to me? or otherwise? nauzubillah
God has plans for me
and I pray hard to Allah it would be another great year for me

most importantly
i wish for a good health for me and my family
good fortune... great business
loving wife and daugther :)

there were a few bad moments in 2012 which i would not rather mention here
but those pitiful moments are well forgotton

euthanasia - must read!

 

EUTHANASIA

not many of us aware of this topic 

why? because it is illegal in our country

the reason i m writing here it is not because i am pro euthanasia

just as a general knowledge to be shared

i came across this issue as i watched the movie " u dont know jack"

last night

the movie is about Dr josh kervokian played by al pacino who practiced euthanasia in michigan USA 

before i go further

what the heck is euthanasia

there are many term , the most famous would be " doctor assisted suicide"

the aim of euthanasia is to end someone life - painlessly and with dignity

Euthanasia is legal in certain state in US and some country in europe

but it is illegal in Malaysia

and it is HARAM in Islam

in places where euthanasia is legal

it is offered and the service is available to terminally ill patients

such as stage 4 cancer patients , patient with severe pain which cannot be relieved by medication and operation.

Patient who has psychiatric disorder are not eligable for euthanasia

euthanasia is done with patient consent 

euthanasia without patient consent is called murder

Dr Josh Kervokian , through out his life had done about 130 euthanasia for different kind of medical causes and reasons.

the public was against him and so does the michigan state

he ended up being jailed for 8 years

he was released on 2007 , and he never regretted doing all those mercy killings

one of the method he used was the lethal injection

when i was in the aneasthesia department .. i am very familiar with the drug used for the lethal injection

basically the drugs used for lethal injection are drugs used to under patient for general anaesthesia before they been cut open .. painlessly

by giving extra dosage... this method should end someone life painlessly

for the lethal injection method

he would use 3 drugs

he starts with intravenous thiopentone to make the patient goes into deep sleep then coma...

after the patient is in coma , he administered the muscle relaxant .. to stop the patient from breathing..

one the patient stops breathing... he will add the xtra dose of pottasium chloride to stop the heart from breathing... then it is the end of that patient life

yesssss... the drugs are available easily in the hospital  , in the operating theater of course.

during the operation.. after we administered the muscle relaxant , we will connect the patient to the ventilator so that the lung will keep breathing :)

technically speaking... the lethal injection method sound painless and easy

but then it is not true

As a muslim.. it was written in hadith.. during our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW was dying.. he felt the extreme pain when the Death angel came to take his life. 

if someone so loved by Allah felt the pain... apa lagi kita manusia biasa kan?

I received a lot of email and messages from houseman
all over malaysia
asking me how to survive housemanship
well , i already answered that question
but still
like it or not
there is no easy way out from housemanship
u have to be patient and smart
u have to keep ur head down
u have to lay low
u have to follow orders
for that 2 years period
u have to be good
in order for u to become a capable doctor in the future

then , once u passed that horrible 2 years period
u are free as a bird
or not
u could continue to suffer hard labour if u still work at the hospital
or u could have a calmer life at the local clinic
it is ur choice
once u choose to be at the small klinik kesihatan
there is no more life saving situation
it is just plain daily life
treating chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetic
doing antenatal check ups
it is a routine job
nothing much
but ur life is pretty much in order
no oncall
no post call stress
and less challenging
to those adrenaline junkie doctors , continue working at the hospital for the rush and life threatening situation!

so yes..
dear housemen
stay put for the first 2 years
it's ur learning period
it's where u will learn a lot of new thing
that's the time when u made a mistake and people cant really blame u
technically u could kill a patient and the court can do nothing about it
u r protected by law!
so enjoy the moment

raising up baby nia - getting a maid

 

maid story

well . raising up a kid nowadays is very costly

nothing new here

for the past one year

i have hired a maid who comes to my mother's house during office hour

to take care of baby nia

we were lucky as she is a local

and live nearby

everything was fine as my parent want baby nia to stay with them as well

technically speaking, mommy and daddy could go to work everyday

without worrying about nia condition

but then

things are about to change

we have to move again somewhere in the near future

and preparation need to be done 

the grannies will be out of reach

the current local maid is out of reach as well

hence we opted to hire a maid

sending nia to day care or nursery is not a preferable choice

as our work schedule is very much unpredictable

the only logical choice available is to get an indonesian maid

which is very costly right now

to get a maid without working permit..

it would cost around rm6000-rm8000

depending on the agency

then , 

to get the permit from putrajaya

that would cost around rm3000 more

total - about rm10k for a maid

the best of it... 

after spending that rm10000

ur maid could just ran away anytime she wants to

no guarantee from the agency after 3 months period

there are rumours some agency told the maid to run back to them after 3 months period

they are making easy money from that

but then ,

that is the fact we have to face

the money spend could just go to waste if the maid choose to ran away

it is the gamble i have to take

to take care of nia

daddy would pay anything

as long as nia is well 

right now 

i am waiting for the maid to arrive

i am praying hard to ALLAH

that she will stay with us for the rest of her contract with us

at least for 2 years
