This place is called kievskaya because it has the train station that connected to the Kiev , Ukraine ( the train station is the white old building behind me in the photo above ) It's a busy place - no doubt about that. It has a metro called the Metro Kievskaya, so it's easily accessible as the metro is also the interchanging station that connecting the light blue, dark blue and the ring line. Therefore, it's become more like a business center :) for small businesses. Near the train station , u could find a very big flower market - fresh flowers from all over europe and they sell it at a very good price compared to other places in moscow.
Next to the train station is a big shopping mall called the European Center. It's a new mall, lots of outlets, perfect for shopping and it has a very good interior design. If u are a muslim and u are looking for Halal Food in Moscow, at the foodcourt inside the European Center, there is a place called the KEBAB house which claimed to serve halal food.
Next to the Kievskaya Train Station ( the kievskaya metro station is underground of the train station) - is the SAS Radisson Hotel. The room here in this hotel cost from 250usd without tax. I have to agree that this isnt the best hotel in moscow and with the price tag, it's not so appealing to the tourist too. However, that's the price u have to pay when u are visiting moscow. Since kievskaya is located in the center of moscow , a hotel room for 250usd is considered OK ( even the other Radisson hotel at the other part of the world only charge 150usd for the same type of room ) It's moscow and money wise - it's suck to be here unless u are a bloody billionaire :)
Ok, enuf of the boring stuff. Back to my not-so-boring daily life :) I'm having my tropical disease cycle now - learning all those tropical infection stuff. It's an additional subject for the foreign students. We are back to the worms and all those bacteria which we learned about their mophology and life cycle in the biology classes 6 years ago. It's suck actually. Not my fav subject. I mean, what the hell is Onchocerciasis rite? Anyone? yes.. it's the river blindness disease caused by the Onchocerca volvulus - a parasitic worm. Yes, a bloody worm that can cause blindness to a human being - and yet we called the worm with such a fancy name. If I was the man who discovered the worm, I might just called it the crazy worm or the g.w bush worm. They are the same... arent they?
